Jill here, and I am one of the 2 Scripture Sisters and am an energetic Jersey girl who is loved by an almighty God! I am also a wife, proud mom, educator, and member of Bayside Chapel.
I have been given the gift of conversation – my Gram would have called it super-talkative – and I use this gift as host of the Feed Your Spirit Podcast. This is a space where I talk to friends about how God has brought them through difficult seasons and what they learned about God during and after this time. Having walked through difficult seasons myself, I think it’s important for others to know that they aren’t alone. When we share our stories for others, we glorify God and His love and grace for us.
I would love to speak at your event, most frequently about sharing your story through the lens of the Gospel, marriage, growing as a woman in the word, and fellowship with Jesus and others. Click on the contact us link so we can talk about how I can encourage and share the love of God with your group.
My hubby, Eric and I reside in New Jersey – where during the summer months, you can find me on the beach with a book in my hands or out for a nice long run. I relentlessly pursue God, knowledge, books, a good cup of coffee, cooking, and perfectly ripe avocado.
I’m Denise, the other half of 2 Scripture Sisters (and Jill’s baby sister). I am a writer and an avid reader. I have more books than I’ll ever read in my lifetime and that makes me sad, really sad. I try not to dwell on that fact because it robs the joy of what I’m currently reading.
While Jill has been given the gift of talking on the fly, my confidence is in the written word. I love hearing personal stories that emotionally touch me. Which lends itself well to writing stories. My longest story yet is my walk with God. I think that’s true for most of us. It’s not always a beautiful walk. Sometimes the walk is hard, confusing, and exhausting. Other times it feels like a stroll on the first warm Spring day. It’s a journey, not a race. One of the most important things to know and feel is that you are not alone. God is always walking with you.
On the everyday side of life, I’m a mom to a teenager (this phase of parenthood leaves me praying multiple times a day) who loves to play hockey, lacrosse, and golf. He is also an avid photographer like his father. My husband is my biggest supporter and we are truly each other’s best friends.
